Marcia Spry has been hired as member services manager in the newly opened Tri-Cities branch of Global Credit Union. She has more than 19 years of credit union experience and previously worked as an assistant branch manager at Point Loma Credit Union in San Diego.

Tomlinson Black North has hired Kathleen Waslaski as an agent. She has five years of experience as a commercial property owner/manager.

Carson Mortgage Capital has hired Pete Tsakarestos as a loan officer. He previously worked as an assistant sales manager at Cricket Communications.

Pehr Black has been hired as an agent at Century 21 Beutler & Associates. He has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sales.

Lee & Hayes has hired Chris Culberson as a patent attorney. He previously worked at Sterling International Inc.

David Giordano has earned his structural engineering certification from the State of Washington. Giordano is a project manager in the structural division of DCI Engineers.

Dr. Mihai Alexianu has been initiated into the American College of Surgeons. Alexianu practices at Spokane Urology.

The American Academy of Advertising has awarded Darrel Muehling the Outstanding Contribution to Advertising Research lifetime achievement award. Muehling is professor and chair of the department of marketing at Washington State University.

The Department of Labor and Industries has recognized Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories for excellence in workplace safety.
