Here’s a look at some other distance events that took place Sunday:

Broad Street 10-Mile Run

Nathan Kosgei of Kenya and Olga Romanova of Russia won the Broad Street 10-Mile Run in Philadelphia.

Kosgei pulled away in the final mile, winning in 48 minutes, 18 seconds in the men’s race. Ethiopia’s Gurmessa Kumissa was second in 48:19 and countrymen Urgessa Woyessa followed in 48:22. The 28-year-old Kosgei won his first U.S. event.

In the women’s race, 25-year-old Romanova took an early lead and won in 53:21, only 14 seconds short of the course record held by Catherine Ndereba of Kenya. Americans Liz Yelling (54:02) and Emily Kroshus (54:48) followed.

Vienna City Marathon

Mrikik Lahoucine of Morocco won the Vienna (Austria) City Marathon in record time, while Tomo Morimoto of Japan set a personal best in the women’s event.

Lahoucine clocked 2 hours, 8 minutes, 20 seconds to cut 15 seconds off the previous record, set by Samson Kandie of Kenya in 2004. Peter Chebet of Kenya was second in 2:08:57, while Dmitro Baranowski of Ukraine was third in 2:10:56.

Morimoto ran 2:24:33 and Chieko Yamasaki of Japan was second in 2:29:10. Mary Ptikany of Kenya was third in 2:31:29.
