Ferry employees face theft charges

Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

SEATTLE – Three state ferry workers accused of pocketing fares have been charged with third-degree theft.

State Patrol detectives arrested Dana R. Clark, Jesse J. Eaton Jr. and Richele M. Gregory in June 2004 after an investigation by the Washington State Ferries Internal Control Department. Charging documents filed in King County Superior Court on Monday said they falsified sales and pocketed nearly $2,000 in fares. Evidence against them included video surveillance and electronic logs of sales, the documents said.
