People: A babe by any other name…

From Wire Reports The Spokesman-Review

After naming their first-born girl Moxie CrimeFighter last June, comedian Penn Jillette and wife came up with something a bit more mainstream for their new son – Zolten Penn, who was born Monday.

“Zolten is a common Hungarian name, it’s my wife’s maiden name and most importantly, it’s the name of Dracula’s dog,” says Jillette, the 51-year-old larger half of the comedy-and-magic duo Penn & Teller.

Meanwhile, Geri Halliwell has named her infant daughter Bluebell Madonna.

The 33-year-old singer, formerly known as Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls, says she was inspired by seeing the spring flowers during her pregnancy.

“But what really clinched it for me was my mother telling me that the bluebell is increasingly rare – so it’s (a) precious flower, which seems just right for my daughter,” Halliwell says.

Bouncing ‘Babel’ boy

Brad Pitt sent an e-mail to the Cannes Film Festival saying he was unable to attend this year’s event because of the “imminent arrival” of his new baby.

Pitt has been in Namibia with his “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-star, Angelina Jolie, awaiting the birth of the couple’s first child.

In his latest film, “Babel,” screening at Cannes, Pitt plays a husband and father trying to cope with a crisis on vacation in Morocco.

Will she give him another spin?

The on-off-on-again relationship between Nicole Richie and her ex-fiancé, Adam Goldstein, is off again.

“We are confirming that we have amicably separated,” the pair said in a statement released this week by Richie’s publicist.

Richie, 24, and Goldstein, a professional club DJ, called off their nine-month engagement in December but recently had been spotted together again.

More lost time

Michelle Rodriguez is headed back to jail for 60 days for violating her probation from a 2004 drunken driving case in Los Angeles.

The violation stemmed from a December arrest in Honolulu on suspicion of drunk driving, for which she served five days in jail.

She was in Hawaii filming “Lost,” in which her character was fatally shot two weeks ago.

She’s happier DOA

Mischa Barton says it was better to be killed off on “The O.C.” than to leave the Fox teen drama in “one of those lame farewells.”

In last week’s third-season finale, Barton’s character died in the arms of her ex-boyfriend after he lost control of his sport utility vehicle and crashed.

Will she ever return in a dream sequence?

“Oh, God. I hope not,” Barton says. “That would be cheesy.”
