Give gays equal rights

The Spokesman-Review

I believe there are some problems concerning gay marriage. I believe everyone has the right to marry whom they wish. (Just like it’s all right for males to get married to females.)

If everyone is created equal, then it’s not right to say who you can or can’t marry. Is that true? Some states allow it. Now they are starting to say no.

Shouldn’t gays have the right to express the way they feel just as everyone else? I go to a school that has no problem with gays.

When I went to a different school, I saw nothing but discrimination toward gays. I said to myself, “I’m going to do something that will help those people who wish to be equal.”

I don’t find it wrong, but I know that there are some people out there who would disagree.

I watched a movie called “Boys Don’t Cry.” I have never cried until I saw that movie.

The main character just wanted to feel comfortable and loved by someone she liked. She was killed for it.

That movie was a true story that I will never forget. I believe in the freedom of right. Where is the right for gays? Please help those in need. Thanks.
