Kids get chance to peer into the future

The year 2031 may be 25 years away, but kids in living in Spokane today can write essays about what they think that year might be like, or a letter to the people of that year.

Whether they want to write about taking a ride in their flying cars, getting help with the dishes from their family robot, or maybe telling a future version of themselves about their plans in life, school age kids can send the letters to the Office of Neighborhood Services, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane, WA 99201.

The letters and essays will be placed in a time capsule to be opened in the year 2031.

All letters are due Friday for burial on Nov. 29 during the City of Spokane’s 125th Birthday Celebration.
