Turkish mysticism

Unity Church of Truth of Spokane, 2900 S. Bernard St., is presenting Latif Bolat, a Turkish mystic musician, singer and composer, on Sunday.

Bolat will give a preconcert lecture, “Sufism: Islamic Mysticism, History, Philosophy and Art,” at 6 p.m. The concert will begin at 7.

International music

Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington St., is hosting “The Scandinavian Invasion with Arvid Lundin and Deep Roots” on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Named for the patron saint of Scotland, St. Andrew’s Day is Nov. 30. The music will explore the connections between Scandinavian and Scottish music.

Special services

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 1926 W. Chelan Ave., is presenting a special speaker, Tim Moore of Gideons International, during its 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.

Study group and cinema

Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., is presenting a study group, “A Course in Miracles,” Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

Admission is by donation, and anyone is welcome to join.

The church is also presenting Spiritual Cinema on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

This month’s movies are “The Legend of Razorback” and “Blackwater Elegy.” Admission is by donation.
