Man found with ex-wife, daughter in car arrested

The Spokesman-Review

A Nine Mile Falls man was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday after he was found in Edgecliff Park in a car with cocaine under the seat and a woman he was forbidden to contact, police said.

Randall K. Rogers, his ex-wife and their sleeping daughter were in the park after it had closed when two officers spotted them, according to a release from Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

After running his name through a database, police found that a domestic violence order prohibited Rogers from contacting the woman, Reagan said.

A search of the car also revealed bullets, which Rogers is forbidden to possess because he is a convicted felon, Reagan said.

Police booked Rogers on suspicion of felony cocaine possession and violating a domestic violence order, a misdemeanor.

Woman charged with forgery

A 22-year-old woman who police say tried to use a forged document at a payday loan shop to get her car out of impound and check into a hotel ended up getting a room in jail Monday.

Ivy R. Ramos, who also goes by Ivy Maine, was arrested after trying to get a loan from Quick Cash at Sprague Avenue and Pines Road, said Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan. Employees there called police after they say she gave them a counterfeit pay stub from Alpha Electrical Contractors to apply for a $600 loan, Reagan said.

After calling the business, employees found that she doesn’t work there, and had brought the same fake document to at least two other payday loan places, he said.

Ramos was booked into county jail on a count of felony forgery. An investigation into other loans she has taken is continuing, Reagan said.
