Pullman knocks off Clarkston

Pullman outscored Clarkston 14-0 in the second half and beat the Bantams (5-3, 4-2) 28-14 in a Great Northern League battle for second place Friday in Clarkston.

With the game tied at 14 entering second-half play, Greyhounds quarterback J.T. Levenseller scored from 3 yards out to put Pullman up by seven.

Then, in the fourth quarter, Levenseller found Jed Adams from 15 yards out to seal the deal for the Greyhounds (8-1, 5-1).

In other league action, Brandon Sager scored two first-quarter touchdowns to guide visiting Colville to a 41-14 win over Cheney (4-5, 3-3). Trevor Fox added 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Indians (9-0, 6-0), who built a 34-0 halftime lead. … Parker Flynn caught four passes for 139 yards and scored three touchdowns as West Valley (5-4, 3-3) defeated host Deer Park (1-8, 1-5) 49-19. Eagles quarterback Bryan Peterson threw for 132 yards and five touchdowns in the win. … Derek Martin threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Riverside (3-5, 2-4) to a 44-6 blowout of Medical Lake (1-7, 0-6).

Jake Ford rushed for 109 yards on 13 carries and scored a touchdown as Davenport knocked off Liberty 34-7 in Liberty. Allen Cantrell added two rushing touchdowns for the Gorillas (8-1, 6-1), who outscored the Lancers (6-3, 4-3) 20-0 in the second half. … In other league action, John Palmier ran for 187 yards on 24 carries and scored two touchdowns to guide host Republic (4-3, 4-3) to a 20-14 win over Wellpinit. Jake Green threw two touchdown passes to lead the Redskins (3-6, 2-5). … Jake Ferderer ran for 114 yards and scored Reardan’s first touchdown of the game as the visiting Indians (8-0, 7-0) blanked Selkirk (1-6, 1-6) 47-0 at Ione. Reardan quarterback Jared Wilke threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns in the win. … Matt Schroeder tossed two touchdowns to guide Wilbur-Creston (3-6, 3-5) to a 28-11 win over host Springdale (0-8, 0-7). Jeremy Maxey caught three passes for 160 yards and scored three touchdowns to guide host Dayton to a 30-0 shutout of Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia (3-5, 2-2). The Bulldogs (7-1, 3-1) built a 20-0 halftime lead and never looked back. … DeSales (5-3, 3-1) shut out visiting Waitsburg (3-5, 0-4) 25-0.

Curlew took advantage of four Entiat (1-7, 1-5) turnovers and beat the Tigers 28-26 in Curlew. Bernard Payne returned an interception 43 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and Austin Mannick added a 57-yard fumble recovery for a score to guide the Cougars (4-3, 3-3). Curlew plays at St. John-Endicott on Nov. 9 in a state tournament-qualifier game. … In other league action, Logan Luiten scored two touchdowns to guide host Odessa (8-1, 5-1) to a 60-12 blowout of Inchelium (0-9, 0-6).

Jered Ayers-Stamper found Chris Keeney in the back of the end zone as time expired to give LaCrosse-Washtucna a 34-28 comeback win over host St. John-Endicott (8-1, 7-1).
