Georgia blanked UAB 34-0 for the No. 10 Bulldogs’ second straight shutout. The Blazers managed only 163 yards against a defense that shut out South Carolina 18-0 the previous week. Georgia has gone 123 minutes, 32 seconds since allowing a point. It was the first time since 1980 – the Bulldogs’ national championship season – that they’ve posted two shutouts in a row.

Defensive end Jeremy Thompson scored on an 86-yard interception return to help Wake Forest beat Connecticut 24-13 and record its first 3-0 start since 1987.
