“We wake up about half an hour before we need to, so an 8 o’clock wake-up. Go to devotionals in the morning, then head to breakfast. At breakfast I always get eggs and bacon, a couple pastries. … It’s just become a tradition since I’ve been here. A lot of salt, so you don’t cramp. I head back up into the room, watch a couple of the games that are going on with Cody (Boyd). We kind of compare our team or ourselves to whoever is playing. … There’s really nothing else to think about. It’s just my breakfast and my music – that gets you ready for the game. Right before the game, I’ve got the headphones on full blast. Nobody usually talks to me. … I always get my Snickers bar, one at halftime, one right after. King size is too big, that’s just too heavy. … It was my favorite candy bar as a kid, my nickname for a while on a couple of my teams. I’ve just always loved them. I don’t know why a Snickers. I’m hungry, and it’s satisfying. … (Afterward) I always reminisce about the game with family and friends, hang out with the teammates and then usually just enjoy Saturday night.”
