Kettle Falls edges Colfax

Lucas Fox scored on a 1-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to give Kettle Falls a 21-14 win over Colfax in Northeast A League action Friday in Kettle Falls.

Fox finished with 120 yards on 28 carries and scored all three Bulldogs touchdowns.

KF safety Chad Hawn intercepted a Ben Aune pass with 54 seconds left in the fourth quarter to preserve the win. Kettle Falls remains undefeated and atop the Northeast A League standings.

Also in the league, Chris Davis ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass to lead Freeman (4-1, 4-1) to a 42-12 win over host Lakeside (2-3, 2-3) at Nine Mile Falls. Andrew Dresback had 147 passing yards, including two touchdowns of 36 and 57 yards for the Scotties. Dresback also had a 14-yard touchdown run. … Chewelah beat host Newport 45-3.
