Engineers Forum of Spokane – Guest speakers Tim and Aija Rahman will present a slide show of their trip to Latvia, noon Monday at the Holiday Inn Airport, 1616 Windsor Drive. Lunch is $13. (509) 244-3467.

Oktoberfest – Hosted by the German-American Society of Spokane, 6 p.m. next Saturday at the Deutsches Haus, 25 W. Third. Dance to music by the Norm Seeberger Band, listen to the Concordia Choir and have traditional Oktoberfest food. Age 21 and over only. Admission is $10, which does not include food.
