Bunnies and chicks and eggs, oh my. Kids love Easter egg hunts and there are several going on in the coming week, making an ideal way for families to have a little fun together. Don’t forget to bring a basket.

Saturday is the free annual Easter egg hunt in Riverfront Park, which generally draws dozens of little ones in search of a bit of Easter fun. It is open to kids under 10 and begins at noon. Parents are asked to arrive early to the Clocktower Meadow for instructions.

Kids 12 and under are invited to the sixth annual egg hunt put on by Carpenters Local 98 in Clark Park at Division and Garland Saturday at noon. There will be more than 6,000 eggs filled with candy. Children must be supervised.

Children on the northeast side of town can head to Andrew Rypien Field, 2323 E. Bridgeport Ave., at 11 a.m. Saturday for a hunt with more than 4,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes for youth of all ages. The event is put on by the Hillyard Kiwanis, the Hillyard Festival Association, COPS Northeast, Bluz at the Bend, VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Roving Gamblers.

If your family would like a scenic drive on the way to find eggs, head out to the Harvest House in Green Bluff Saturday or Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to egg hunts in the fruit orchards there will be breakfast and lunch served. The cost is $3 for adults and $5 for children, which includes the egg hunt, a wagon ride and an ice cream cone. Harvest House is located at 9919 E. Green Bluff Road.

North Idaho families also have a few options. The Fifth annual Easter Egg Hunt and Activity Day at Priest Lake will include activities for kids and teens, including a duck race, Easter egg toss and nature scavenger hunt. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Indian Creek Campground, on the east side of the lake, 12 miles north of Coolin. Admission is $4 per car.

Three community Easter egg hunts will be held simultaneously at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Coeur d’Alene City Park, Q’emiln Park in Post Falls and at Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.
