The Spokesman-Review

Post Falls police are asking for the public’s help identifying a truck used in the theft of a 26-foot utility trailer early Monday morning.

Surveillance video shows a white or light-silver truck westbound on Third Street in Post Falls, pulling a trailer reported stolen from the 1300 block of East Third Street.

The missing trailer is a 2007 Mirage Xtreme sports trailer with doors on the front, rear and side.

Two snowmobiles inside the stolen trailer were later found abandoned in an industrial area off Flora Road in Spokane Valley, police said.

Video of the suspect truck can be viewed at the “press” page at www.postfallspolice.com. Police describe the truck as an early- to mid-1990s model, 1-ton truck with dual rear wheels and running lights over the cab.

The truck and trailer were seen heading west on Third Street, north on Spokane Street and near Curley’s Tavern on Highway 53.

Anyone with information on the missing trailer is asked to call Post Falls police at (208) 773-3517 or leave an anonymous tip at www.postfallspolice.com.

Woman pleads not guilty in girl’s death

A Ravalli County woman has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of her boyfriend’s 16-month-old daughter.

Nicole Lynn Moore, 23, remains jailed in Hamilton on $250,000 bail.

Prosecutors said Moore kicked Kaylee Marie Stenvers, causing her to strike her head on the stove. She died March 9 at a Spokane hospital.

Court records said Moore told investigators she was frustrated that Kaylee wouldn’t stay away from the stove. She kicked Kaylee on the bottom to knock her into a bouncy chair, but the girl fell forward and hit the stove, court records said.
