Miller said he’s likely done with Olympics

The Spokesman-Review

Even if he still is skiing World Cup in 2010, Bode Miller said he won’t be in another Olympics, not after his “terrible” experience in the last one.

“It’s highly doubtful that I’ll be racing in 2010,” America’s top skier said in an interview Friday, “and even if I am racing in World Cup, I wouldn’t go (to the Olympics).

“Being the front man for it in the last Olympics, I thought it was terrible,” he said. “That was the reason (my behavior) was so terrible.”

After winning two silver medals in the 2002 Olympics and then the overall World Cup title in 2005, expectations were extremely high for Miller to bring back at least one gold in the 2006 Games. Instead, he didn’t win any medals.
