In brief: Internet safety meeting

East Valley School District will hold a parent meeting on Internet Safety May 1, in the East Valley High School Commons, 15711 E. Wellesley Ave.

The presentation is open to parents of fourth-grade students and older. No students will be allowed at the presentation. Officer Travis Pendell will speak on cyber bullying, My Space issues and more. For questions, contact Tammy Fuller at 226-1379.

Still time to register

Spokane Valley Baseball registration for youth ages 5 through 12 will continue through mid-May.

Persons can sign up their child either at the office, located behind the Sports Creel at 12505 E. Sprague Ave., or on the Web site at www.spokane valleybaseball.com.

Office hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m.

Fees are $70 per player for Tee Ball (ages 5-6) and Coach Pitch (7-8), $95 for Pee Wee (9-10) and Midgets (11-12).

Spokane Valley Baseball competes during the summer from June until August.
