Reds 10, Cardinals 3: At St. Louis, Ken Griffey Jr. moved past Reggie Jackson into sole possession of 10th place on the career home runs list, and Alex Gonzalez tied his career highs with two homers and five RBIs as Cincinnati pounded the Cardinals. Griffey has 564 career home runs.

Mets 2, Rockies 1 (12): At New York, pinch-hitter Damion Easley hit a tying homer with two outs in the 10th inning and Endy Chavez drove in the winning run with a bunt single in the 12th, giving the Mets a victory over Colorado.

Brewers 4, Cubs 1: At Chicago, Prince Fielder homered for the second straight game and Milwaukee defeated the Cubs.

Braves 11, Marlins 6: At Miami, four Atlanta relievers combined to pitch six shutout innings and the Braves scored all of their runs with two outs to beat Florida.

Phillies 6, Nationals 3: At Philadelphia, Wes Helms drove in the go-ahead run with a single in a three-run eighth inning to lead the Phillies over Washington.

Padres 10, Diamondbacks 5: At Phoenix, Randy Johnson returned to the Arizona lineup, looked his age and was outpitched by another 43-year-old. David Wells got the victory in the oldest matchup of left-handers in major league history, leading San Diego over Arizona.

Giants 5, Dodgers 3: At Los Angeles, Matt Morris pitched into the eighth inning and Dave Roberts homered to lead San Francisco over the Dodgers.

Pirates 3, Astros 0: At Pittsburgh, Paul Maholm allowed three singles in his first career complete game and the Pirates beat Houston.
