Two more vacation Bible school sessions are coming up in the Valley, offering youths a place to have some fun as they learn about faith. The camps include Bible stories, games, crafts and other activities.

A session begins Monday at Bible Baptist Church. Classes will meet daily from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 4 and up through Friday. The theme of the event is Surviving the Jungle. The church is at 11111 E. 16th. Call the church at 928-1298 for more information.

Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will host a Great Bible Reef VBS Aug. 21-23. The camp is open to children in grades K-5. Classes will meet daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church, 115 N. Raymond Road. The cost is $20. Call the church at 924-7262 to register.

Worship in the Park

The congregation of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection will gather for worship Sunday in Terrace View Park, located at Blake Road and 24th Avenue. The service will begin at 10 a.m. A potluck lunch will follow. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share and their own place setting. People may bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.

Midweek service

Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will host a special evening service in the chapel at 6 p.m. Thursday, followed by a potluck dinner. Those with last names beginning with A-L are asked to bring casseroles and those with names beginning with M-Z are asked to bring salads. The church will provide desserts, rolls and beverages.
