Shootout registration ends Aug. 10

Basketball players are encouraged to register their team for the Coeur d’Alene Shootout, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Aug. 18 and 19 at North Idaho College.

Coeur d’Alene Shootout is a double-elimination tournament with standard half-court games played to 20 points or 25 minutes. Anyone age 8 and older can participate in eight different divisions, ranging from third- and fourth-graders to adults.

The entry fee is $90 per team and includes a T-shirt. Entries must be postmarked by Aug. 10.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and the number of teams will be limited. Registration forms are available in the NIC Athletics Office inside Post Hall or at The Sports Cellar located at 402 Sherman Ave., or download one by from the Coeur d’Alene Shootout link on NIC’s athletics Web site at www.nic.edu/athletics.

Mail completed applications to the North Idaho College Athletics Department, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID, 83814 or drop them off in the NIC Athletics Office.

The event is sponsored by Pepsi. Proceeds will benefit NIC athletic scholarships.
