If you know a kid who likes to have fun, point them toward Riverfront Park on Saturday. The park will be filled with free events during the annual Kids Day sponsored by KSPS. Activities on the menu include a cow milking contest, face painting, a pitching cage, games, a skateboard demonstration, tours of fire engines, karate demonstrations and more.

The fun will last from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and all events are free. It will be at least one day of the summer that kids can’t complain that they’re bored.

The last of the summer events are coming up at Mobius Kids, so now’s your chance if you haven’t already taken advantage of the special summer schedule. Kids age 4-7 may attend a “Building Block Construction” camp today through Thursday from 2-4 p.m. each day. Projects include a gumdrop dome, popsicle-stick house and penny bridge. The cost is $65 for members and $75 for non-members.

A “Creative Concoctions” camp later this month will allow kids to make sticky and gooey creations in science experiments. The camp for ages 7-10 will be Aug. 14 from 2-4 p.m. and ages 4-6 will meet Aug. 21 from 2-4 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

All camps are at Mobius Kids, located in the lower level of River Park Square, 808 W. Main. Call (509) 624-5437 for more information or to register.
