Area students graduate from Colby College

Two area students graduated in the spring from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, the college announced.

Anna Czechowski of Spokane is a graduate of Lewis and Clark High School and the daughter of Michael and Daun Czechowski of Spokane.

Kristin Luber of Colbert is the daughter of Stephen and Lorie Luber of Colbert and graduated from St. George’s School.

Emily Laete of Spokane was named to the dean’s list at Wisconsin Lutheran College. She is the daughter of Jake and Janelle Laete of Spokane.

•The University of Oregon announced its recent graduates. All degrees are bachelors unless otherwise indicated.

Idaho

Coeur d’Alene: Nathan Rarick, Master of Business Administration, management, general business.

Moscow: Susannah Schmidt, biology.

Post Falls: Erin Murphy, journalism: advertising and psychology.

Sagle: Jesse Wakeley, computer and information science.

Sandpoint: Ryanne Pilgeram, Master of Science, sociology.

Spirit Lake: Emmalee Gerstenberger, psychology and religious studies.

Washington

Spokane: Tyler Black, Doctor of Jurisprudence, law; Adrian Freuen, Master of Fine Arts, printmaking; Britney Henry, sociology; Rachelle Montanaro, Master of Arts, arts management; Sean Ray, Doctor of Jurisprudence, law; Sarah Schrock, Master of Landscape Architecture.

Spokane Valley: Kathryn Larned, chemistry; Sophia Tegart, Master of Arts, music history.

Zachary Stewart of Spokane graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, with a degree in architecture. He is the son of Steve and Rebecca Stewart of Spokane.

Rachel Bonertz of Spokane was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.

•The following Spokane students recently graduated from Oregon State University.

Cecily Bishop graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in animal science. Cassie Hebel graduated with a Master of Science in forest science.

Kathryn Dean of Coeur d’Alene graduated with a biology degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She is a graduate of Gonzaga Prep and the daughter of Charles and Jeanne Dean of Coeur d’Alene.

Emily Calkins of Spokane was named to the dean’s list at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. She is the daughter of Eric and Beth Calkins of Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.

Paaqua Grant graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in biology. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1997 and is the son of Howard and Sue Glass of Spokane.

Dustin Sedgwick of Coeur d’Alene graduated from Princeton University with an economics degree and a certificate in finance. He is a 2003 graduate of Lake City High School and the son of Jonathan and Anne Sedgwick.

Chelsea Bolan recently graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Fine Arts. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1996 with a degree in English literature and is a graduate of Lewis and Clark High School.

Sydney Seavey graduated from Eugene Bible College with a degree in pastoral studies. She is a graduate of Shadle Park High School and the daughter of Chris and Becky Dorn.

•The following Spokane students recently graduated from George Fox University:

Suzanne Almeida graduated with an international studies and Spanish degree. She is the daughter of James and Pamela Almeida of Spokane.

Brittney Zosel received a degree in psychology. She is the daughter of Michael Zosel of Spokane.
