Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Readers: When an electronic device like a television or phone that’s on a system, etc., quits working and you can’t figure out why, try unplugging it. Leave it unplugged for a few seconds, then plug it back in. This works, especially on many processor-controlled devices. When you do this, you reset the processor. I have heard from several technicians who suggest this hint to try before calling a repair person. – Heloise

Dear Readers: Here are a few hints for using mesh shelf liner:

•Put a piece under throw rugs.

•Cut a piece to fit the console in your car or on the dashboard. No more sliding cell phones, change, pens, tokens or notepads.

•Use on a dinner tray to keep the plate from sliding.

•Use under plants on a window ledge.
