LAS VEGAS – Trevor Brazile moved back into first place in the tie-down roping world standings, winning the seventh round of the National Finals Rodeo with a 6.7-second run Wednesday night.

Tyson Durfey of Colbert tied for third with a time of 8 seconds earning $8,329.32 to move up a spot to 11th in the average.

Brazile, from Decatur, Texas, had the fastest time in the 2007 NFR and came close to breaking the NFR record of 6.5 set by Cody Ohl of Hico, Texas, in 2003.

With his first NFR victory this year, Brazile pushed his season money total to $162,683. In bareback riding, Justin McDaniel of Porum, Okla., took his second-round victory in the event with an 89.5-point ride on Street Dance. Ryan Gray of Cheney scored a 78 to place ninth and just out of the money, dropping to 13th in the average.

In steer wrestling, Stockton Graves of Newkirk, Okla., won with a time of 3.7 seconds.

Jason Miller of Lance Creek, Wyo., first in the aggregate at 29.80 over seven rounds, tied for second with Canada’s Lee Graves at 3.9.

In bull riding, Logan Knibbe of Rockdale, Texas, won with a 91.5-point ride on Big Mike after being bucked off in the first six rounds.

In saddle bronc riding, Taos Muncy of Corona, N.M., notched his second 2007 NFR win with an 87.5 on Silver Moon.

Cody Wright of Milford, Utah, second with an 85 on Big Jet, tops the world standings with $168,850. Muncy moved into second with $150,628.

In barrel racing, Canada’s Lindsay Sears won for the third time at the 2007 NFR, finishing in 13.64 seconds. Brittany Pozzi-Pharr of Victoria, Texas, the world leader with $204,712, was third in 13.95.

In team roping, David Key of Caldwell, Texas, and Kory Koontz of Sudan, Texas, won with a 4.1-second run.
