UW revamps ‘08 schedule

Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

SEATTLE – Washington’s 2008 schedule now includes three byes, and the Huskies will open the season at Northwest rival Oregon on Aug. 30.

The Pac-10 Conference announced changes conference-wide on Wednesday. Along with moving their game against Oregon, the Huskies will host Oklahoma on Sept. 13 and close the season at California on Dec. 6.

It’s the second consecutive season that Washington will play an opponent after facing archrival Washington State in the Apple Cup. This year, Washington played at Hawaii the week following its 42-35 loss to the Cougars.

Washington will have byes on Sept. 20, Oct. 11 and Nov. 29.
