‘Burger’ event benefits nursery

Beginning Monday through Feb. 25, Red Robin will hold its seventh annual Burgers With a Heart event.

For two weeks, all three Spokane Red Robin restaurants, 725 W. Main Ave., 9904 N. Newport Highway and 14736 E. Indiana Ave., will donate 50 cents from every burger sold to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. The restaurants also will give proceeds from specially designed Red Robin hearts sold for $1.

Spokane high schools will participate in Spirit With a Heart, where students will compete in a school spirit night at one of the three restaurants to sell the $1 Red Robin hearts. The winners will take home the Spirit With a Heart traveling trophy.

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery is a refuge for children from newborn to age 6, at risk for neglect and abuse, and support for parents.
