Cardinals tame No. 7 Panthers

David Padgett and Derrick Caracter neutralized Aaron Gray inside while Louisville’s 2-3 zone defense was taking away No. 7 Pittsburgh’s outside shooting, and the Cardinals (18-8, 8-4 Big East) dominated both halves en route to a 66-53 victory over the Panthers (22-4, 10-2) Monday night in Pittsburgh.

(14) Georgetown 71, (23) West Virginia 53: At Washington, Roy Hibbert scored 20 points and the Hoyas (19-5, 8-2 Big East) dismantled a Top 25 team for the second time in three days with a win over the Mountaineers (19-6, 7-5).

Texas 83, (18) Oklahoma State 54: At Austin, Texas, Kevin Durant scored 21 points and the Longhorns (18-7, 8-3 Big 12) turned in their best defensive effort of the season in a win over the Cowboys (19-6, 5-5).
