Kellie McCann-Smith had 16 points and seven steals and Misty Atkinson added 14 points and eight rebounds as Clarkston (16-5) slid past Cheney 48-43 in a District 7 2A playoff game Friday in Clarkston.

Kyle Miller tallied a team-high 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting for the Blackhawks (13-9).

In other tournament action, Alyssa Garro scored a game-high 16 points, including four 3-pointers, as Pullman slammed visiting West Valley 56-23. Taylor Walker and Anna Albrecht each added eight points for the Greyhounds (21-0), who led 30-13 at the half. Kystal McCarthy tallied a team-high nine points for the Eagles (10-12), who will play Cheney at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in a loser-out game at Cheney. Pullman advances to play Clarkston for a birth to the state tournament at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eastern Washington University.
