Tina Miller’s three-point play with 1 minute, 19 seconds remaining helped the Kamiakin Braves hold off the Mt. Spokane Wildcats 49-46 in a girls 3A Eastern Regional loser-out basketball game in Kennewick.

Callie Bergstrom topped Mt. Spokane (6-17) with 15 points and hit 3-pointers to give the Wildcats a pair of leads late in the fourth quarter.

In the other loser-out game, the West Valley (Yakima) Rams beat the visiting Hanford Falcons 56-40.

The Rams travel to East Valley to take on the Knights at 6 p.m. Thursday, while Kamiakin plays at Kennewick.

“Kennewick jumped out to a 17-point lead by the end of the first quarter and rolled to a 62-40 win over visiting Mt. Spokane (9-13) in a boys 3A Eastern Regional loser-out game in Kennewick.

In the other loser-out game, West Valley (Yakima) beat Eastmont 57-45 and travels to play North Central at 6 p.m. Thursday. Kennewick will play at Southridge (Kennewick).
