Oilers defeat Kings in overtime

Jan Hejda scored his first NHL goal 1:14 into overtime, lifting the Edmonton Oilers to a 2-1 victory over the Kings on Monday night in Los Angeles.

Jarret Stoll had a power-play goal in regulation, and Dwayne Roloson made 34 saves for the Oilers in the only game on the league’s schedule. It was Hejda’s 14th game in the NHL.

Devils’ home gets a name

Prudential Financial Inc. and the New Jersey Devils announced the company will pay $105.3 million over 20 years to call the Devils’ new arena the Prudential Center.
