PULLMAN – No one on the Washington State roster was alive the last time the Cougar men’s basketball team cracked the national polls in 1983.

That all changed on Monday, when WSU appeared in the Associated Press poll tied for 22nd and in the coaches poll at No. 23.

“To be ranked like that is kind of special,” junior guard Kyle Weaver said. “There’s really no ceiling. I don’t see it. We’re playing together and worked hard to get to where we are now.”
