Feature creature: Shotzie

This dog has enough energy to keep up with an owner training for a triathlon, and would probably bring a lot of joy to someone who has an active lifestyle.

Though young, Shotzie is house-broken and already responds to “sit” and “down.” Like all puppies, she could use some training but is friendly and seems to get along with cats and other dogs.

Outside, she’s a fast runner and likes to fetch, chew on squeaky toys or both.

Anyone interested in adopting this dog or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter, 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web site at www.spokanecounty.org/animal. Dogs cost $75.02 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to the veterinarian.
