Jaycee Carroll had 22 points and seven rebounds to help Utah State beat San Jose State in San Jose, Calif. Chaz Spicer had 16 points for the Aggies. Menelik Barbary had 16 points and Jamon Hill added 13 for San Jose State. … Justin Hawkins scored 19 of his career-high 29 points in the first half and New Mexico State beat No. 15 Nevada. Hawkins added 11 rebounds – nine of them offensive. Nevada got 21 points and seven rebounds from Nick Fazekas and 23 points from Ramon Sessions. Elijah Ingram scored 14 points and Tyrone Nelson scored 12 for the Aggies, who have won 14 of their last 15. … Matt Nelson scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds as Boise State defeated Hawaii in Boise. Anthony Thomas added a career-high 21 points for Boise State. Ahmet Gueye had 16 points and six rebounds for Hawaii and Bobby Ash added another 16 points for the Warriors. Boise State shot 52 percent from the field, a number boosted by Nelson hitting nine of 13 attempts, mostly by working hard under the basket for layups. Hawaii shot 34 percent, with Gueye hitting six of nine. The Broncos made 25 of 33 free throws, while Hawaii hit 15 of 21.

Mitch Henke had eight points and Joey Kaempf and Brody Angley added six each for the Broncos. Gyno Pomare scored a team-high 17 points with 12 rebounds for San Diego. … Omar Samham scored five of his team-high 19 points in overtime as Saint Mary’s defeated San Francisco in San Francisco. The Gaels won their third straight conference game and recorded their first road victory of the season. Allan Wiggins had a career-high 25 points for San Francisco. … Marvin Lea scored 14 points and Gregg Barlow scored 13 as Pepperdine snapped a six-game losing streak with a victory over Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles. Carlos Taylor scored 19 points to lead Montana State to a win over Idaho State. Mecklen Davis added a season-high 12 points and five rebounds for the Bobcats. Both teams shot less than 40 percent from the field. Casey Durham was a force for the Bobcat defense, recording three points, four rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Logan Kinghorn had 16 points, six rebounds and three steals, and David Schroeder added another 16 points for Idaho State. Nicholas Rhodes had 14 rebounds and three steals. … Matt Martin scored 28 points to lead Montana to an overtime victory over Weber State in Missoula. Andrew Strait finished the game with 22 points for the Grizzlies. while Bryan Ellis chipped in 13.
