Jeff Dickmann earns Eagle rank

Jeff Dickmann recently earned his Eagle Scout rank, the highest award given in the Boy Scouts. Dickmann, a member of Troop 22, is a junior at Shadle Park High School. For his project he repaired and remodeled the archery range at Camp Fire Boys and Girls’ Camp Dartlo. Dickmann is the son of June and Brian Dickmann of Spokane.

•Navy Lt. Jonathan French was recently awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal. The medal is given to those who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service or outstanding achievement while assigned to multiservice, joint Department of Defense activities.

French is a 1996 graduate of Gonzaga Prep, a 2000 graduate of Notre Dame University and a 2004 graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law. He is the son of Edward French of Coeur d’Alene and Anne Ganz of Spokane.

He is currently a judge advocate general assigned to the Region Legal Service Office in Norfolk, Va.

•Army Pvt. 1st Class Brandon Pomrenke recently graduated from the Defense Information School at Fort Meade, Md. Pomrenke, a 1999 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, is the son of Bob and Nancy Pomrenke of Spokane.

•Four area residents recently graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

Army Pvt. Melissa Marsh, a 1999 graduate of Spokane Valley High School, is the daughter of Terry Metcalf of Spokane.

Army Pvt. Adam Starkey, an honor graduate, is the son of Cheryl Starkey of Moscow, Idaho, and Brad Starkey of Spokane. He is a 2006 graduate of Moscow High School.

Army Pvt. Lisa Ricketts, the daughter of Chris Ricketts of Palouse, Wash., and Kristi Gonzalez of Moscow, Idaho, is a 2004 graduate of Moscow High School.

Army Pvt. John Leberman, a 2006 graduate of Havermale Alternative School, is the son of Chris and Karla Leberman of Spokane.

•Two local residents have been named to the fall 2006 honor roll at Walla Walla Community College’s Clarkston Center. John Lawson of Palouse, Wash., was named to the president’s list, and Janice Moore of St. John, Wash., was named to the vice president’s list.

Air Force Airman Alexander Ballard, the son of Joe and Sara Ballard of Spokane, is a 2006 graduate of Liberty High School.

Air Force Airman David Benning, a 2004 graduate of Shadle Park High School, is the son of Mark Benning of Spokane.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Brian Kranches, a 2005 graduate of Shadle Park High School, is the son of Mark and Pam Kranches of Spokane.

Air Force Airman Ryan Nielsen, the son of Tracy Jacobson of Endicott, Wash., is a 2005 graduate of St. John-Endicott High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Amy Ransier, the daughter of David Ransier of Medical Lake and Andrea Ransier of Seattle, is a 2006 graduate of Medical Lake High School.

Air Force Airman Aaron Scott, a 2006 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, is the son of Ralph Scott and Nina Scott, both of Spokane.

Air Force Airman Nathan Thibodeau, a 2006 graduate of Medical Lake High School, is the son of Gregg and Rhonda Thibodeau of Fairchild Air Force Base.
