Christian college quartet giving concert Tuesday

This week is a good one for concerts at area churches.

The Joy Quartet from Pensacola Christian College in Florida will perform in concert Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Arden Faith Baptist Church near Colville. All are welcome to attend.

Organist from Florida performing at St. John’s

The summer carillon concerts are continuing at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Spokane.

The weekly outdoor concerts begin at 7 p.m. each Thursday.

Next week’s performance will feature Lee Cobb of Lake Wales, Fla. He holds a Master of Music in organ performance and is the organist and choir master at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales.

Admission to the concerts is free, and they take place rain or shine. Those attending are invited to bring chairs or a blanket along with a picnic dinner.

The cathedral is at 127 E. 12th Ave.

Ministry fundraiser

Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church will host a rummage sale, bake sale and car wash Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and next Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The sale will include books, clothing, tools, exercise equipment and furniture. Proceeds will benefit the church’s Just for Fun singing ministry. The church is at 4449 N. Nevada St.

Produce donation

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is sponsoring a refrigerated truck full of fresh produce that will be at the Lutheran Church of the Master in Coeur d’Alene beginning at 9 a.m. Friday. The fresh vegetables and fruit will be available to all.
