Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A Cocolalla, Idaho, man was ejected from a car and killed in a crash on Highway 95 near Algoma on Friday. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to an Idaho State Police report.

John J. Obrien, 74, was driving a Toyota pickup north on Highway 95 when he turned left in front of another vehicle at Sagle Road. The oncoming Honda Civic, driven by 35-year-old Brian D. Corless, of Sandpoint, collided with the pickup, the report states.

Corless and two 7-year-olds, Bailie H. Corless and Sharon K. Rowe, were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries. They were treated and released from Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, according to the report.
