Rangers 5, Angels 4 (11): At Anaheim, Calif., Mark Teixeira led off the 11th inning with his 13th homer of the season and hit an RBI double in the eighth, leading Texas to a victory over Los Angeles. C.J. Wilson got one out for the win.

Blue Jays 2, Red Sox 1: At Boston, rookie Jesse Litsch held the Red Sox to one run in 6 2/3 innings to outpitch Josh Beckett and lead Toronto to a victory over Boston. Lyle Overbay had three hits off Beckett, and Litsch allowed nine hits and a walk while striking out two.

Twins 4, Athletics 3: At Minneapolis, Joe Mauer singled home the winning run in the ninth inning after Justin Morneau hit a tying home run in the eighth and Minnesota completed a four-game sweep of slumping Oakland.

Yankees 7, Devil Rays 6: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Derek Jeter hit a two-run home run, Andy Phillips snapped an eighth-inning tie with an RBI single and New York rallied past Tampa Bay to climb above .500 for the first time in more than three weeks.

Indians 5, Royals 3: At Cleveland, Travis Hafner had three hits, including a long two-run home run to help Fausto Carmona and the Indians defeat Kansas City. Carmona improved to 8-0 with a 1.98 ERA in nine daytime starts. The right-hander allowed two runs over seven innings to win his third straight start.

Orioles 5, White Sox 3: At Baltimore, Brian Roberts and Corey Patterson homered to back an effective performance by Garrett Olson and the Orioles handed Jose Contreras his A.L.-high 11th loss in a victory over Chicago.
