U.S. tops Lithuania

Gonzaga University guard Matt Bouldin scored two points on 1-for-5 shooting, grabbed four rebounds and handed out one assist to help the United States top Lithuania 90-81 at the FIBA U-19 world championships in Novi Sad, Serbia, on Monday.

David Lighty hit all eight of his shots from the floor and finished with 19 points to top the Americans, who are 4-0 at the tourney.

Deon Thompson added 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting for the U.S., while Patrick Beverly hit three 3-pointers on his way to 14 points.

Deividas Gailius came off the bench to score 19 points for Lithuania. The only other Lithuanian to reach double figures in scoring was Lukas Brazdauskis with 13.

Lithuania, which dropped to 1-3 at the tourney, had a 32-31 rebound advantage.

The U.S. took control of the game in the second and third quarters, outscoring their opponent 55-38.
