M’s trio deserves respect

In response to a recent letter about Richie Sexson, Yuniesky Betancourt and Dave Niehaus of the Seattle Mariners:

Sexson is a power hitter and, as of late, has proven he can provide home runs and clutch hits. Betancourt is brilliant at shortstop and can dig out any hit and make the play at first as well as any shortstop in either league. Niehaus has thrilled thousands on the air and in person, and any team in baseball would be damned proud to have him. These three are critical to the Seattle Mariners and in catching the Los Angeles Angels.
