Indians open with Rim of Honor

In addition to opening the season tonight, the Spokane Indians will dedicate the Rim of Honor, which celebrates individuals who have contributed to the Spokane Indians during the team’s 104-year history. The Rim of Honor is located along the top of the stadium down the left and right field lines.

There will be four permanent members, including former players Levi McCormack, Maury Wills, Dwight Aden and manager Tommy Lasorda. There will also be two annual non-player members inducted into the Rim of Honor. This year it will be Indians general manager Peter O’Malley and Spokane Indians season ticket holder Don Schofield.

Tonight’s game against the Eugene Emeralds starts at 6:30. Tickets are available by calling the Indians at 535-2922.
