Cardinals 5, Mets 3 (11): At New York, Brendan Ryan hit his first career home run in the 11th inning and St. Louis snapped the Mets’ four-game winning streak.

Cubs 8, Rockies 5: At Chicago, Cliff Floyd hit a two-run homer and the Cubs beat Colorado for their fifth straight victory.

Braves 6, Nationals 2: At Atlanta, rookie Jarrod Saltalamacchia homered twice and slumping Andruw Jones went deep for the first time in 2 1/2 weeks, to lead the Braves past Washington.

Phillies 11, Reds 4: At Philadelphia, catcher Carlos Ruiz drove in a career-best four runs and stole home to lead the Phillies over Cincinnati. Ryan Howard, Shane Victorino and Chase Utley homered for the Phillies.

Pirates 3, Marlins 2: At Miami, Paul Maholm pitched 7 2/3 strong innings and Pittsburgh snapped a five-game losing streak with a victory over Florida.

Dodgers 6, Diamondbacks 5 (10): At Phoenix, Tony Abreu belted a pinch-hit home run in the 10th inning to carry Los Angeles to a victory over Arizona.

Padres 3, Giants 2 (10): At San Francisco, Kevin Kouzmanoff homered with one out in the 10th inning to lead San Diego to a victory over the Giants.
