Feature creature: Snoop

Kim Lytle Correspondent

This beautiful sand-colored face has black whiskers that look like they were added by mistake. It adds to the charm of this well-mannered, gentle boy.

Easygoing and friendly, Snoop has been at the shelter since June 14, when he was picked up as a stray. Even though toys were available in the play yard, Snoop spent his time at the fence wagging his tail at people who went by; he was hoping someone would recognize him and take him home.

Snoop has been temperament-tested. He is thought to have a personality gentle enough for children of any age, and he probably would love anyone he meets.

But he is a little shy or inexperienced around other dogs, so if he is going to live with a canine friend, a polite dog that plays nicely would be best for him. Snoop already knows how to sit and is food-motivated, so more training would be an easy chore.

Come meet Snoop at SpokAnimal CARE, 710 N. Napa St. The telephone number is 534-8133. SpokAnimal is open every day.

Adoption fees are $79.50, including neutering, rabies vaccination, licensing and a microchip.
