Maple reopens
Reconstruction of Maple and Ash streets in north Spokane reached the midway point on Monday with completion of this season’s work on Maple and the closure of Ash for work there.
Maple from Northwest Boulevard to just north of Wellesley Avenue was reopened on Monday. Crews moved to Ash Street, which was closed from Francis Avenue to Northwest Boulevard. Traffic is being rerouted to Monroe Street.
The $5 million project is being paid for from a $117 million citywide street bond issue approved by voters in 2004.
