Junior Chris Pynch and senior Ryan Van Beek finished with 14 points apiece as the Crusaders forced 12 turnovers and blew off an early Napavine lead to win their tournament opener.

Riverside Christian was outscored 16-9 in the first quarter but promptly turned things around, outscoring the Tigers (16-10) 23-10 in the second quarter to take a six-point lead at the break.

The Crusaders (17-3) were 82 percent from 3-point range on 9-of-11 shooting.

Van Beek was perfect, nailing all four of his 3-pointers. Matthew Allan, who contributed 11 points for Riverside Christian, was 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.

Kirk Vigre finished 8 for 8 from the field with 16 points to lead the Tigers.

Wahkiakum outscored La Conner in every quarter and coasted to a win over the Braves.

Toby David scored 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting for the Mules, who shot 73.7 percent from the floor in the first half.

Wahkiakum converted on 11 of 15 free throws while La Conner was just 2 of 6.

Ty Briscoe added 15 points and Travis Bain dished out a game-high eight assists for Wahkiakum (23-1).

Jason Lindeman tallied a team-high 17 points for the Braves (18-6).

St. George’s 22-4 third-quarter run broke open a close game and gave the Dragons a win over Evergreen Lutheran.

Junior Henry Butler had a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds to lead St. George’s (21-7), which held the Eagles to 31.1 percent (14-45) shooting from the floor.

The Dragons were 17 of 24 from the line while Evergreen Lutheran was just 2 of 5.

Junior Daniel Kurbis tallied a team-high 11 points for the Eagles (21-4).

Liberty Bell stormed back after falling behind 15-6 to start the game and beat Mt. Vernon Christian.

Cody Hutchinson led three players in double figures with 14 points for the Mountain Lions, who outscored the Hurricanes 37-22 in the second half. Dusten Nations tossed in 12 points and Connor Walsh added 10 for Liberty Bell (17-7).

Dan VanderKooy led all players with 19 points for Mt. Vernon Christian (12-10).

Seniors Joe Grewe and Derek Iranon combined to score 35 points for Northwest Christian in a victory over Willapa Valley.

Grewe shot 7 for 19 from the field for 17 points while his counterpart Iranon netted 18 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the field.

The Crusaders (26-1) jumped up to a 31-23 lead at half and never trailed thereafter.

Brady Langer led the Vikings (15-9) with 11 points including two 3-pointers and nine boards.

Toutle Lake felt comfortable at the free throw line Wednesday, shooting 14 for 17 as a team as they went on to a 57-46 win over La Salle.

James Davidson scored six of his 16 game-high 16 points at the line and teammate Bobby Breece scored 14 off the bench. The Ducks’ bench tallied 22 points for the game.

The Ducks (19-5) led by 11 at halftime and maintained that lead for the rest of the game, holding La Salle to 34 percent shooting from the field.

Lawrence Cacchiotti led the way for the Lightning (13-11) with nine points.

DeSales cut a 15-point halftime deficit to six in the third quarter, but a 22-point fourth quarter for Darrington gave them the victory.

Derrick Green hit 4 of 5 3-pointers for 12 points to pace the Loggers and Brennan Vincent added 15 points.

Darrington’s defense limited DeSales to 12 points in the first half and 32 percent shooting from the field for the game. Jake Moore netted 13 points for the Irish (18-7).
