‘What Americans want to read’
Great article by Jennifer LaRue on the Colonial Day (Valley Voice, March 1) at Progress Elementary School.
This is an American story: Good history lesson, church across the street helps out. Perhaps there is a time that church and state can coexist.
Thanks to a smart principal, dedicated teacher and clergy who think the effort was worth the trouble. Sounds like the kids benefited from the day, including the “stressed” child, who at least has experienced some discipline.
Take this story to the mass media. This is what Americans want to read. It might encourage other schools to try something similar.
