Colby Armstrong scored 1:19 into overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins came back from a two-goal, third-period deficit to beat the New York Rangers 3-2 on Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Emery made 41 saves for the Senators.

Panthers 3, Thrashers 2: At Sunrise, Fla., Jay Bouwmeester scored the game-winning goal as Florida defeated Atlanta.

It was the first victory for Florida over Atlanta in seven games this season.

Canadiens 4, Blues 3: At St. Louis, Alexei Kovalev scored with 1:25 left to give Montreal a victory over the Blues.

Kovalev’s goal came just 43 seconds after the Blues tied it at 3. It also snapped a four-game losing streak for the Canadiens, who have lost five of six.

Simon’s fate on hold

Chris Simon met with NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell, then waited to find out how long he will be suspended for his vicious two-handed stick attack to the face of Rangers forward Ryan Hollweg.

There was no immediate announcement of how many games Simon will miss.
