Achievements: Longfellow PAWS’ candy sale proceeds to benefit Ronald McDonald
PAWS is the name of the leadership group at Longfellow. It has a fundraiser every year. This year the group is having a candy sale every Friday after school to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. PAWS also conducts student-of-the-month assemblies each month, an annual food drive, offers help with younger students in different capacities and helps with various jobs around the school. This year the group also is going to help with the all-school dance. Fifth and sixth-grade members have to fill out an application and go through the interview process. Currently there are 21 members.
Fifth-grade PAWS are Jade Alford, Jessie Allison, Tyler Bundrock, Sarah Gaylord, Rachel Hunter, Alex Martinez, Paige McLain, Sadie Meyer, Danesha Trahan, Ernie Tsybulnik, Tierra White and Brionna Williams.
Sixth-grade PAWS are Maria Aguilera, Kelsey Ball, Samantha Brummett, Lela Bryant, Myleena Chappell, Royce Huang, Brenna Parker, Abby Varona and Delainyea Wilkes.

Logan ASB council
Logan Elementary Associated Student Body Council students emcee the awards assemblies three times a school year. All 11 ASB members have been assigned two or three classrooms each to deliver fundraiser information and deliveries of merchandise to each teacher. The Spokane Chiefs and Spokane Indians sporting event flyers and posters advertising games are also handled by the ASB council students.
ASB council members help with the decision of school events such as spirit days and help with after school family nights. They also help with teacher appreciation gifts and run the Logan Elementary school store.
The requirements of a student to be on the ASB council are: good grades, willingness to help others, good citizenship and leadership qualities.
