Parenting is no picnic sometimes, but a group of area churches are teaming up to offer a parenting seminar to offer ideas on how to refresh your family life. Start with the Heart will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. next Saturday at Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway Ave. It is designed for parents with children ages two through 18.

The evening also will include performances by Irish dancers, fiddlers and the St. John Vianney choir, plus dancing to the music of Chill Cats.

Dinner is $7 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12 or $30 per family. Child care will be available for $5 per child.

Those who want a little exercise first can participate in the 1.5 mile fun run at 2 p.m.
