Freshman Jenna Plumley had 20 points behind six 3-pointers and Leah Rush scored 19 to lead Oklahoma, which struggled to put away the Redhawks in front of a pro-Sooners crowd.

Sonya Daugherty led Southeast Missouri State with a game-high 25 points. The Redhawks trailed 64-58 with 4 minutes to play before Plumley hit her fifth 3-pointer, then buried another 60 seconds later to make it 70-60. Plumley also contributed seven assists.

11 La.-Lafayette (25-9) 58

Krystal Ellis and Christina Quaye each scored 17 points and the Golden Eagles routed the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Marquette did just about anything it wanted inside or outside, bolting to a 30-7 first-half lead from which Louisiana-Lafayette never recovered.

Chrissy Givens moved up yet another spot on the school’s scoring list with 24 points, and the Blue Raiders easily kept the nation’s-longest winning streak alive at 27 games with a victory over the Bulldogs.

Amber Holt added 23 points, six rebounds and four steals and Starr Orr had 10 points and six boards for the Blue Raiders,

The gutsy Red Foxes drew offensive fouls and scrapped with a bigger, more physical Ohio State team, shocking the heavily favored Buckeyes and sending them home for the season.

Julianne Viani made six 3-pointers, including three in an 18-5 second-half run that also featured a 3 by Meg Dahlman, and finished with 24 points.

Angel McCoughtry had 24 points and nine rebounds, and Jazz Covington had 14 points and grabbed seven boards to lead the Cardinals past the Cougars.

Louisville led by as many as 27 in the second half, but BYU used an 8-0 run midway through the half to pull within 19. The Cougars got no closer.

The Sun Devils needed a furious second-half rally to avoid one of the biggest upsets in the history of the women’s NCAA tournament.

Briann January (Lewis and Clark High) scored 15 points, Danielle Orsillo added 13, and ASU rallied from a 15-point deficit to beat the Highlanders.

The Sun Devils pulled out the victory by outscoring UC Riverside 19-2 after Chanel Foster’s basket with just less than 8 minutes remaining gave the Highlanders a 48-38 lead.

Brooke Smith made her first 10 shots on the way to a season-high 29 points, Cissy Pierce hit two early 3-pointers, and the Cardinal breezed to an easy victory over the Bengals.

Natalie Doma scored 32 points on 12-for-25 shooting, making 6 of 13 shots in the opening 20 minutes while the rest of her teammates went 4 for 22 – and the Bengals couldn’t recover after falling into a big hole.

Britany Miller scored 20 points and the Seminoles shot 58 percent to beat the Lady Monarchs.

Tanae Davis-Cain and Alicia Gladden each scored 11 points in the first 13 minutes, with Davis-Cain knocking down three 3-pointers during that span and Gladden making all five of her first-half shots. Davis-Cain finished with 24 points, Gladden added 18 points, six assists and two steals and Mara Freshour had 12 points and six assists.

West Virginia’s Olayinka Sanni controlled the paint, scoring 20 points to lead the Mountaineers to a win over the Musketeers.

Sanni scored 17 in the second half and grabbed eight rebounds in her matchup with 6-foot-5 Amber Harris, who stands 4 inches taller than Sanni.

Harris, the Atlantic 10 rookie of the year, had 19 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for the Musketeers but couldn’t stop Sanni.

14 UNC-Asheville (21-12) 39

RaShonta LeBlanc and Quianna Chaney each scored 15 points, hitting all of the Lady Tigers’ season-high nine 3-pointers in a win over the Bulldogs.

Kyla Jones and Katie Baldwin each scored seven points for UNC-Asheville, which committed 25 turnovers and shot 15 of 55 from the field.

Nicky Wieben scored 11 of her 18 points in the second half and Toccara Ross added 12 points to lead the Cyclones to a victory over the Huskies.

Iowa State overcame a shoddy start by shutting down Huskies star Cameo Hicks early. Hicks finished with 19 points for Washington, but missed seven of her first nine shots and didn’t get going until the game was out of reach midway through the second half.

The Lady Bulldogs held the Bruins to one field goal in the final 15:22 for the victory.

Ashley Houts had 10 points and six assists for Georgia, which held the Bruins to 20 percent shooting and forced 22 turnovers.

Jacqua Williams swished a running one-handed shot in the lane with 2 1/2 seconds left to lift the Yellow Jackets past the Blue Demons.

Chioma Nnamaka’s long jumper with 26 seconds remaining pulled the Yellow Jackets within one, and Jenna Rubino was pressured near the sideline and stepped out of bounds for the Blue Demons to set up the winning shot.

Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton had 16 points to lead the Boilermakers past the Golden Eagles.

Katie Gearlds added 11 points and FahKara Malone had 10 for the Boilermakers, who advanced to the second round for the 11th consecutive year.

Purdue established command immediately, holding Golden Eagles leading scorer Elisha Turek – the Mid-Continent player of the year – to four points on 2-for-5 shooting in the first 20 minutes.

Danielle Gant scored 20 of her career-high 24 points in the second half and had 14 rebounds to help the Aggies beat the Mavericks.

Terra Wallace had 18 points and Ashley Bobb had 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Mavericks, who had a 19-game winning streak snapped and lost for the first time since December.

Takia Starks added 10 points for Texas A&M and made a jumper with 2:09 that gave the Aggies a 53-43 lead.

Jessica Adair dominated the inside from the opening tip, and the Colonials scored the first 19 points to beat the Broncos. Adair, a 6-foot-4 sophomore, had 15 points and a career-high 21 rebounds for the Colonials.

Nadia Begay shot 8 of 14 from 3-point range and led Boise State with 26 points. Tasha Harris added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Broncos.
