Participants sought for relay

Organizers of the Relay for Life, a team fundraising event that benefits the American Cancer Society, are looking for volunteers, teams or individuals who would like to participate in the event June 15 and 16 at East Valley High School, 15711 E. Wellesley Ave.

The opening ceremonies begin at 6 p.m. with a cancer survivor lap and celebration.

All cancer survivors, friends, family and members of the community are invited to participate in the Spokane Valley Relay.

There will be food, entertainment, a silent auction and other activities for the whole family.
